The Creative Writer: A Lucky Man & Shatter with other stories and poems
Why is it your favorite book:
Mystery, suspense, drama, comedy, poetry, fantasy, slice of life, love, and a vampire?! All in one book?! This compilation has it all! "The Creative Writer: A Lucky Man & Shatter with other stories and poems" is a mouthful to say and a brain-full to read. Don't miss it!
The book's Featured Author, Lynda Myles, is an incredible, award-winning writer. She has two Emmys under her belt, is a playwright whose work was chosen for the Eugene O'Neill's National Playwrights Conference, and has recently accepted John Gardner Memorial Prize for Fiction. Beautiful stories of hers open and close the book.
With "Shatter", Elli Westmoreland crashes you, the reader into poetry. Susan Coppola then takes you back to childhood so you can grow up again. Jason Kaplan makes you laugh while Annelie Widholm frightens you. Luckily, Matthew Ryan is there to take you away on a flight, riding a giant eagle. And if that's not crazy enough for you, Chris Medaglia actually makes you think a tree can fall in love. Poems by Jessie May Murray, Sarah M. Clinton, and Lisa Roberson weave between the fiction and somehow make the mood of the book cohesive.
With introductions and a suspenseful story from the book's editor, Jared D. Vineyard, "The Creative Writer: A Lucky Man & Shatter with other stories and poems" is a carefully constructed book to be a great read from beginning to end. And with this being the first book of The Creative Writer series from J. D. Vine Publications, this is a must own for all collectors.
